Personal branding is like a company culture: whether you defined it or not, you’ve already got one. Your personal brand exists as a function of how people see you. It's the ten words they might say about you when you're not in the room. The question is: are you letting it run wild, or are you shaping it intentionally?
Building a personal brand is about creating a vibe that’s authentically you. It’s about making people think, She’s onto something, and I want to be part of it. It's about having a clear message and letting that permeate everything you do. For example, if your personal brand for 2025 is about helping others take life-changing trips around the world, then I don't expect to see concrete jungles of inner city life on your social feeds. And if I met you in person, I would expect your conversation to exude adventure and excitement. I would expect you to be someone in the know and I hope you would be empathetic to listen to what "life changing" means for each person in the room. Personal brand is the guardrails for your daily actions.
