Part 3 - How to Plan Out Your Entire Year
For 2025, I have some big things I want to achieve and I also want to ensure I don't drop the ball on self and family, so I'm plotting it all out on a wall chart. Here's how...
This is Part 3/6 in your Everything You Need To Plan Your Best Year Yet and is the method I use to organise my year. Read the other parts here but remember it's essential to do your Big Woman Energy docs here. I hope this is useful for your 2025 planning!
I find it so odd when people say - "I have no idea where I'm going to be next year." I always wanna say - girl how?!?!? I always know exactly where I'm going to be next year and I know it by the quarter, month, week and day. I started knowing from age about 32, so if you're younger than this, you have some allowances because you're still in experimental life mode. Also kids will dictate your calendar a lot.
How can I confidently know where I will be in 2025?
If you've already completed your Guide to Working With Me and Vision Setting 2025, you'll know what you like and what you need to get your work done. So mapping out your year ensures you get to focus on the things you like doing, in the season you are doing them.
Because I track my general moods and vibes over the years I know some things about myself...
- In mid April I seem to have an Existential Crisis (almost to the day)
- On my birthday in May, I like to travel alone and write.
- I love an English and European summer but also get jealous of everyone's holidays.
- I always seem to launch something in September
- I always seem to be super social and travel a lot in October.
- I get very pale and depressed by early December.
So this allows me to start forward planning to mitigate things.
Girlbossy Year Planning
When I was a busy girlboss, I would map my CEO Tasks out on a spreadsheet like this:
And then I would take those tasks and map them by monthly priority like this:
I look back and it all seems rather psycho and intense (and no time for family and friends) and I'm not in this energy anymore. BUT if you are a reader who is still in this mode (because players gotta play), then I will tell you, it works.
I would then schedule all these team meetings etc in my Google Cal (I'm a big fan of a recurring cal invite) to correspond to the activities. You can view my sheet here.
You can kinda see how a random week would look here and it would be so hectic that I would always have to schedule FRIDAY NIGHT SAUNA's and weekly night ins to cope!
Lazy Girl Planning
This year I did lazy girl planning. I literally just wrote one liners of what I would be doing and sent to my agents and team. That was it.
The only things I didn't do is go to India (it will happen when it's meant to) and shop Equity proposal, but that's because a fun new project came my way that July. Overall I would say this ended up being 89% accurate.
2025 Year Planning
The first method was very intense and the second was a bit lax, so just like Goldilocks, I want my year plan juuuuuuust right and here's how I'm doing it.
For 2025, I have some big things I want to achieve and I also want to ensure I don't drop the ball on self and family, so I'm plotting it all out on a wall chart. My friend, Laura Jackson, made the best wall calendar. It's HUGE and super high quality. Order yours here.
I've put mine in my kitchen so my brother and son and all the family can see it, especially because I'm travelling a lot. So how do I fill this out and handle my year like a pro?
