New Method 9 | Have Compassion for Your Fellow Woman

This is your weekly affirmation to help you build your personal philosophy. Have a great weekend!
Take a deep breathe in...and say it with me...
Divide and Conquer has been one of the most basic strategies to keep women disunited in their plight. While it can be easy to utter the words, ‘I’m not like other women’, all women are alike in their subjugation regardless of race, class, sex, socio-economic status, intelligence and so on. We cut out the internalized misogyny which forms like cataracts on our lens when we view other women. We recognize everyone’s path is their own and we have compassion for the diverse needs of women across the world. When we speak for women, we speak for all women or we speak for none at all, otherwise our advocacy remains incomplete. Only through solidarity and intersectional feminism can we hope to dismantle the systemic barriers that hinder women’s progress and foster a world where gender equity prevails.
Actions
- Challenge Internalised Misogyny: Reflect on and dismantle judgmental views of other women, fostering solidarity instead.
- Respect Individual Paths: Honour the unique journeys and needs of women from all backgrounds. Just because you don't agree with someones opinion, don't mean it's not valid.
- Speak Inclusively: Advocate for all women or none at all, ensuring intersectional feminism underpins your actions.
