New Method 15 | Sit with Your Demons

This is your weekly affirmation to help you build your personal philosophy. Have a great weekend!
Take a deep breathe in...and say it with me...
After labeling our trauma we can sometimes see how we can be the ones that stand in our own way. Our intense desire to be liked and respected can be an overpowering force and make us act from our superego rather than from our hearts. We actively confront our demons, facing them and not letting them destroy us. We know that managing our superego is absolutely essential to unlocking personal and professional growth, so we sit with it and invite it to tea. Only through being comfortable with being uncomfortable can we begin to shift our focus from external validation and approval to a deeper sense of self-awareness and self-acceptance. We sit with our demons until we no longer notice they are in the room.

- Journal Your Triggers: Write about moments when you felt the need for approval—what triggered it, how you reacted, and what your inner self truly wanted.
- Name Your Demons: Identify recurring fears or insecurities (e.g., fear of failure, rejection) and reflect on how they show up in your daily life.
- Mirror Work: Spend 5 minutes daily looking into the mirror, acknowledging your fears, and speaking affirmations of self-acceptance to confront and reframe them.
