Getting There

Trains to Newcastle are super frequent and we advise you get the 10am train from London Kings Cross which arrives into Newcastle just in time for lunch at 12.52pm. Train tickets book up well in advance so get your Open Return Ticket now from £168. Hop off the train at Newcastle Central Station and get ready to explore the city. The station is centrally located, so you’re right in the thick of things from the get-go.

The journey from London to Newcastle is 3 Hours! Watch a movie or network with other Stack Members!

1pm - Get Lunch

Walk five minutes from the train station to the historic Grainger Market and everyone can get the food and drinks they need. There's nothing I love more than to go to a city's food market as a way to get acquainted and eat a little bit of everything. I love Las Ramblas in Barcelona and Grand Central Market in DTLA so Grainger Market has a familiarity that I love.

For lunch, you have so much to choose from Cuban, pizza, Indian, American, Japanese but Cubano's is currently my fave.

2.30pm - Browse Bookstores

Take a walk five minutes and spend a moment in the Books For Amnesty. They have a brilliantly curated selection of second hand books and if you're anything like me, you'll be lugging a bunch home on the train.

3.00pm - Check In

The hotels up North are very reasonably priced and you should find a decent stay between £60-£120. We advise you partner up with another Member and share a room.

  • Motel One Newcastle: For a more affordable option, Motel One has a cool, minimalist design and a location in the heart of the city. Its just a few minutes walk from Fenwick Newcastle, where we will be attending the party. It’s perfect for those who appreciate a stylish, budget-friendly stay, however, there are no baths! It's also has our favourite coffee shop next door and a cool Gin bar across the road. Its a 6 min walk to Fenwick Newcastle.
  • Malmaison Newcastle: A chic boutique hotel with riverside views along the Quayside, Malmaison is stylish and Instagram-worthy. The rooms have a modern-industrial vibe, and you’ll be in walking distance of bars and restaurants. This is a good hotel to get a twin room and share with another Stack World Member. Its a 6 min taxi / 20 min walk to Fenwick Newcastle.
  • The Vermont Hotel: If you prefer something a little more luxurious with a classic twist, The Vermont is a gorgeous option. It's near the iconic Tyne Bridge, offering breathtaking cityscape views and the most bustling bars.
  • Hotel Du Vin Newcastle: Is a little bit further of a walk but you get these beautiful views along the river. I stayed in a room with a freestanding bath so I was happy! Its a 6 min taxi / 29 min walk to Fenwick Newcastle.

You can view and book all the restaurants here

Fuego Newcastle by Fenwick for the Mediterranean’s best flavours.

7.30pm - The Big Beauty Hall Event

This is the big moment! Join us for the launch of the new Fenwick Newcastle Beauty Hall. Preview the campaign we created for Fenwick featuring our favourite Newcastle United Footballers and get makeovers, discounts and much more!

9pm - Cocktails and Dancing

If you're not ready for bed, then join me at Mother Mercy, the award winning cocktail bar and speak easy where we can hang and chat all evening!

9.30pm Nightcap

If you fancy something a little quieter and you're staying at Motel One, then you must check out The Gin Closet, a gorgeous tiny little bar which is perfect for one quick drink before bed.

10.30am Check Out & Coffee

After you've checked out at your hotel, grab a coffee at Laneway Coffee which seems to be the place to hang out. There were lots of people co working and having meetings when I popped in and it's the best cortado I've had out of London so far...

We'll have lots more details as we get closer to the event so keep checking back as we confirm the talks on the day!
